Thomson Choir Featured on Fox 5
Dec. 16 , 2008 — Thomson's Choir was featured on Fox 5's Morning News. Accompanied by Ms. Bowden, Choir Director, the choir was filmed singing a holiday song in the lobby of the The Willard Hotel, one of Thomson's partners. Dr. Camp was also briefly interviewed. About Thomson
Strong John Thomson Elementary School currently serves 435 students from Head Start through fifth grade. Although enrollment in most DC Public Schools has declined, our enrollment has increased to capacity in the past 3 years.
We are located in the heart of downtown at 1200 L Street N.W. Thomson serves as the neighborhood school for a number of diverse communities, including the Hispanic, African, and African-American communities near Massachusetts Avenue and the Asian population in and around Chinatown. Through lottery, it also draws out-of-boundary students from all over the city. Thomson prides itself in being a school that is committed to Diversity, Academic Excellence and the Arts.
